The Automated Inventory Management (AIM- RoW) Team is seeking a Software Development Engineer to design, develop, and maintain large-scale, distributed systems for supply chain management. This role involves working with Java, Scala, NoSQL databases, and AWS solutions to build scalable services for inventory planning.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, debug, deploy, maintain, document, and deliver large-scale, highly distributed, real-time management systems for supply chain business.
  • Utilize Java, Scala, object-oriented design patterns, NoSQL databases, and data modeling techniques.
  • Design PB scale big-data processing solutions leveraging AWS.
  • Gather and analyze business and functional requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
  • Produce comprehensive software documentation.
  • Recommend changes in development, maintenance, and system standards.
  • Collaborate with Senior and Principal Engineers, Researchers, and Data Engineers on software solutions for supply chain management optimization.
  • Work in an agile development environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional software development experience (non-internship).
  • 2+ years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability, scaling).
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Desired Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
