Qualcomm is seeking a SOC Architect / uArchitect in Bangalore, India, to lead system-level architecture and micro-architecture for various platforms. The role requires extensive experience in SOC design, integration, and analysis, with a strong understanding of hardware, system architecture, and software. A Bachelor's degree is required, with advanced degrees highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve methodologies for experiments and analysis in the specific area of expertise.
  • Collaborate on projects with multiple teams and disciplines.
  • Analyze complex information, gathering and integrating high-level information from multiple sources.
  • Work independently with little supervision, demonstrating organization, resourcefulness, and planning abilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master or PhD degree in related field highly desired.
  • SOC Architecture / micro-architecture Background.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate on projects with multiple teams and disciplines.
  • Ability to develop and improve methodologies for experiments and analysis in the specific area of expertise.
  • Experience or Education involving hardware, System architecture and software.
  • 6-11 years in SOC Architecture/Systems Engineering or related work experience.
  • Experience in architecture / Micro-architecture / Design.
  • Computer architecture, understanding of ARM Architecture and related concepts such as ARM TrustZone, Virtualization.
  • Understanding of VLSI flow from spec to tape out with proficiency in digital design, HDL languages, Scripting languages.
  • Power and/or performance analysis, simulation, and modelling.
  • Exposure to HW/SW working model.
  • Analyzing Complex Information, ability to gather, integrate, and interpret high level information from multiple sources.
  • Good Communication skills, ability to convey information clearly and accurately.
  • Getting Work Done: Working independently with little supervision, ability to be organized, resourceful, and planful.

Desired Qualifications

  • SOC Architecture: Mobile, IOT, XR, Servers.
  • Preferred domain experience in DDR, Interconnect, System Cache, Coherency, QOS, Modem, DSPs, CPUs (ARM preferred), High and Low Speed peripherals, PCIe / CXL Ips, RISV-V.
  • Expertise in one or more from these Skills: Power Arch, Boot, Debug, Security, Access Control.
  • Languages (Not Mandatory): C/C++, Python, Perl, SystemVerilog, VHDL, Verilog, SystemC - FPGA/ASIC design.
  • Desired: Profiles with both VLSI Design and Systems is a plus.
  • Desired: hands on experience with SoC design, integration for complex SoCs and strong understanding in SoC Area, Performance and Power Analysis/tradeoffs.
