Emerson is seeking a Simulation Engineer in Noida, India for a hybrid role. The position involves modeling, testing, and tuning assigned systems/sub-systems for power plant projects, requiring a Bachelor's or Master's degree and 1-3 years of experience. The role emphasizes initiative, goal setting, and collaboration within a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Model, test, and tune assigned systems/sub-systems within project budget and schedule.
  • Prepare and submit Data Collection Lists and Functional Design Specifications (FDS).
  • Review P&IDs and support Pre-Factory Acceptance Test and Factory Acceptance Test.
  • Follow Department Quality procedures and complete quality-related checklists.
  • Integrate systems/sub-systems for testing and collaborate with the global modeling team.
  • Understand Ovation Control system, protections, interlocks, and permissive.
  • Work in a simulator project with a team of 4-5 engineers.
  • Learn new skills as per department requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in mechanical engineering / Power Plant Engineering.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Coal / Combined Cycle Power Plant operation/modeling.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Minimum English language skills (speaking and writing).
  • Creativity to apply knowledge in thermodynamics to design systems.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Ability to travel and work abroad 30-40% of work time.

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous work experience with Simulation/Modeling tools.
  • Good knowledge of Power Plant process and operation.
  • Excellent Communication Skills.
