We are seeking a Shipowner Sales professional in Shanghai to lead business development, analyze market insights, and convert opportunities into sales. This role involves actively engaging with ship owners to understand their needs, promote our products, and build brand preference. The ideal candidate will have a strong network within the industry and a proven track record in management or business development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the generation and development of business plans and convert actionable business cases into sales.
  • Analyze market insights and ship owner buying behavior to create sales plans aligned with Marine division strategy.
  • Engage actively with ship owners through visits, meetings, and interactions to understand needs and highlight product value.
  • Increase awareness and brand recognition of Alfa Laval as a key stakeholder for relevant products.
  • Ensure Alfa Laval's full product scope is on maker's lists and create ship owner preference during newbuilding maker selection.
  • Manage the customer grid and proactive planning in tools for commercial operations.
  • Collaborate with shipyard sales to develop profitable quotes, stress unique selling points, and follow up.
  • Utilize OneCRM and other tools consistently for sales process support and decision-making.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-8 years of relevant work experience in management or business development roles.
  • Extensive network with senior decision makers among Alfa Laval customers, prospects, and industry stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of the industry and business logic in domains such as ship owners, ship managers, leasing companies, authorities, academies, classification, regulators, and associations.
  • Customer-centric mindset, data-driven approach, creative and strategic thinking.
  • Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple programs and stakeholders.
  • Personal credibility, maturity, and people skills to leverage relationships.
  • Strong leadership skills with an open mind for improvement.
