Atlas Copco is seeking a Service Technician in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, to perform routine preventive service, troubleshoot, and repair air compressors and related equipment. This role involves customer interaction, documentation, and participation in a 24/7 on-call pool, requiring travel within a 1-2 hour radius of Lancaster. Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive service, troubleshoot and repair air compressors, air dryers, drains, controllers, and low pressure blowers.
- Set, install, and pipe compressor systems.
- Absorb advanced learning including VSD’s, refrigeration, industrial networks, remote monitoring, and air audits.
- Pressure wash and clean customer equipment pads including skids, coolers, concrete, tanks, etc.
- Communicate with customers and Service Manager regarding services performed and present repair/upgrade options.
- Completely fill out all service-related documentation.
- Attend training at the Air Academy and train with Senior Service Technicians.
- Promote and practice proper safety procedures and correct use of personal protective equipment.
- Provide a high level of customer service and respond to customer needs.
- Participate in a rotating 24/7/365 on-call pool with travel to customer locations, including out-of-town and overnight travel.
- Be subject to random drug testing.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of technical experience in the mechanical, maintenance, or electrical field.
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks within assigned deadlines.
- Customer-focused and ownership of meeting customer needs.
- Ability to use computers to complete work orders, ordering parts and training.
- Supply all basic required tools.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- A valid driver's license.
- Fluent in English.
- Reside within a reasonable commute (30 minutes to one hour) of the assigned territory.
- Must be able to park a company-issued, branded service vehicle at your place of residence without any restrictions.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with the maintenance, overhaul, and repair of a wide variety of industrial equipment, including electrical, hydraulics and/or pneumatics is preferred.
- Experience in HVAC is a plus.
- Occasional travel to Rock Hill, SC for paid training.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and work in industrial environments including extremes in temperature with continuous walking, reaching, bending, and kneeling.
- Basic understanding of mechanics and electrical theory.
- Certifications are a plus (EPA Certified).
