Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Android HMI applications.
- Develop new UI features and enhance existing functionalities for Android-based systems.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, architects, testers, and stakeholders.
- Implement responsive and user-friendly interfaces using modern Android development practices.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Analyze and resolve defects, performance issues, and stability concerns.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with customer teams.
- Support integration activities and troubleshooting across software components.
- Provide technical guidance to a team of developers, enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity.
- Conduct comprehensive code reviews, establish and oversee quality assurance processes, performance optimization, implementation of best practices and coding standards to ensure successful delivery of complex projects.
- Ensure process compliance in the assigned module and participate in technical discussions/review as a technical consultant for feasibility study (technical alternatives, best packages, supporting architecture best practices, technical risks, breakdown into components, estimations).
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables and accordingly prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure & closure of escalations.
Requirements
- Strong experience in Android Application Development.
- Automotive HMI development experience.
- Proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java.
- Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose and/or Android XML UI development.
- Strong understanding of Android Architecture Components (MVVM, LiveData, ViewModel, Navigation, Room).
- Experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, Gradle, and Git.
- Knowledge of REST API integration.
- Understanding of design patterns and object-oriented programming.
- Experience with unit testing and debugging tools.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a global team environment.
- Proactive, ownership-driven mindset with a focus on quality and user experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Android Automotive OS (AAOS) and Automotive Infotainment Systems.
- Knowledge of CAN, Vehicle HAL (VHAL), and Automotive Services.
- Exposure to Automotive UX guidelines and infotainment platforms.
- Experience with Jenkins, Bitbucket, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks.
