Responsibilities
- Independently uses AI tools and practices across the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and takes ownership of AI-generated assets.
- Reviews product and test code to ensure team standards, adequate test coverage, and product appropriateness.
- Leads by example to produce extensible, maintainable, well-tested, secure, and performant code.
- Creates a clear test strategy that ensures solution quality and prevents regression.
- Owns or collaborates on the architecture of solutions with minimal technical oversight.
- Drives efforts to ensure the correct processes are followed for high security, privacy, safety, and accessibility.
- Integrates logging and instrumentation for gathering telemetry data on system behavior.
- Acts as a designated responsible individual (DRI) and works on-call to monitor systems for degradation.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to determine and confirm customer/user requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, OR equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
- Must pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, OR equivalent experience.
- Experience designing, building, and operating applications and services on Microsoft Azure or comparable cloud platforms.
- Experience building and owning large-scale production applications, with demonstrated end-to-end technical ownership.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, including leading engineering initiatives and driving architecture decisions.
- Solid full-stack development experience with React, Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Solid AI-powered engineering mindset and skills, with hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools.
Benefits
- Base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year.
- Specific range for San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
