Responsibilities
- Drive design and implementation for cloud-native infrastructure used by Azure Observability services.
- Own production-quality features end-to-end, including design, coding, validation, deployment, monitoring, and live-site support.
- Partner with adjacent infrastructure, observability, and platform teams to align dependencies and deliver supportable solutions.
- Participate in on-call and incident response, using learnings to improve automation and troubleshooting.
- Contribute to building the next generation system for collecting, processing, storing, and analyzing monitoring and diagnostic data.
- Embody Microsoft's culture and values.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, OR equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
- Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, AWS or similar cloud computing platforms.
- Experience with modern AI technologies, including Generative AI, LLMs, RAG-based solutions, and cloud-scale data platforms.
- Ability to apply AI-driven innovations to improve developer productivity, operational efficiency, and customer experiences.
- Ability to mentor developers and drive cross-team collaboration for infrastructure capabilities.
- Experience improving reliability, security, observability, networking, or operational excellence for live services.
- Demonstrated experience with React, JavaScript, Knockout, C# or similar programming languages.
Benefits
- Base pay range of USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year (US-wide), with a higher range of USD $160,200 - $261,000 for San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
