(Senior) Quantitative Risk Analyst, Credit Risk Data Analytics

Nordea söker en (senior) kvantitativ riskanalytiker till sitt team för kreditriskdataanalys i Helsingfors, Warszawa eller Stockholm. Rollen innebär att analysera kreditriskdata, bedöma kapitalpåverkan från nya modeller och regulatoriska förändringar, samt utveckla dataanalysverktyg. Vi söker dig med en kvantitativ examen och erfarenhet av SQL, SAS eller Python.
Responsibilities
- Assessing the capital impact of new models and regulatory changes
- Analysing credit risk data, identifying data quality issues and conducting root-cause analysis
- Developing and improving data quality tools
- Creating data visualisations and insights to support decision-making and stakeholder discussions
- Optimising processes and driving strategic initiatives within your areas of expertise
- Acting as a subject matter expert for specific data areas and responding to ad-hoc information requests
- Providing clear and structured status updates to relevant stakeholders
- Preparing analyses, reports and documentation for senior management and external or regulatory reporting
- Acting as a bridge between business and IT to ensure a shared understanding and effective collaboration
Requirements
- A degree in finance, economics, engineering, physics, mathematics or a closely related quantitative field; relevant professional experience may also be considered
- Foundational understanding of credit risk concepts, with an interest in developing expertise in credit risk data and analytics
- Experience analysing data in structured database environments, through work, studies or relevant projects
- Familiarity with SQL, SAS, Python or similar analytical and programming languages; practical experience is an advantage
- Strong analytical skills and an ability to work with complex information, draw conclusions and communicate findings clearly

- Strong structuring and coordination capabilities, with experience managing multiple parallel workstreams and end‑to‑end deliveries
- High level of independence and accountability, combined with the ability to work effectively across teams and senior stakeholder groups
- Advanced analytical skills with the capability to assess complex data, models, and processes, and translate findings into clear insights and recommendations
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with confidence to engage, challenge, and influence stakeholders, and to translate business needs into clear requirements for IT and other technical teams
- A proactive and solution‑oriented mindset, with a genuine drive for continuous improvement, knowledge development, and contributing to the long‑term capability of the team
