Qualcomm is looking for a Senior Memory Characterization Engineer in Bangalore, India. This role involves designing, optimizing, and testing electronic systems, with a focus on memory characterization, design, and validation. The ideal candidate will have experience with Spice decks, fast simulator tools, and memory compiler flows.
Responsibilities
- Plan, design, optimize, verify, and test electronic systems, circuits, mechanical systems, and digital/analog/RF/optical systems.
- Work on memory characterization, design, and validation.
- Familiarity with layout parasitic extraction and challenges in deep submicron technologies.
- Write Spice decks, stimulus, and test vectors and validate them.
- Work with fast simulator tools.
- Demonstrate good memory design knowledge, debugging skills, and familiarity with waveform viewers.
- Familiarity with NLMD + CCST .libs and experience generating libs and performing sign-off QA checks.
- Familiarity with memory compiler flow enablement.
- Validate libs with tight stimulus (sanity) runs.
- Mentor, drive projects independently, and guide junior peers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
- OR Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
- OR PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
- Worked in the memory domain.
- Familiarity with Spice decks and ability to write/validate them.
- Hands-on experience with fast simulator tools.
- Good memory design knowledge and debugging skills.
- Familiarity with waveform viewers.
- Familiarity with NLMD + CCST .libs and experience generating libs and performing sign-off QA checks.
- Familiarity with memory compiler flow enablement.
- Familiarity with validating libs with tight stimulus (sanity) runs.
Desired Qualifications
- Preferably worked on Memory characterization, design and validation.
- Familiar with layout parasitic extraction and challenges in deep submicron technologies.
- Candidates with scripting knowledge will be preferred.
- Graduate or Post Graduate in Electronics /Electrical engineering with relevant (5-12 years) experience in VLSI industry.
