Sandvik Business Area Rock Processing is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design, build, and evolve backend solutions. This role involves working with microservices on Azure, RESTful APIs, and collaboration within an agile team, offering hybrid work conditions in Svedala.

Responsibilities

  • Develop backend services and contribute across design, architecture, delivery, and follow-up.
  • Build microservices as Docker containers and run them in Kubernetes on Azure.
  • Create and maintain RESTful APIs secured with OAuth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and customers to improve a customer-centric digital platform.
  • Explore digital trends and emerging technologies to keep solutions moving forward.
  • Support continuous improvement with a strong focus on user experience.

Requirements

  • Solid experience in modern Java and Spring Framework.
  • Good understanding of backend development in cloud-native environments.
  • Modern Java and Spring Framework.
  • Linux or Unix environments.
  • Databases such as PostgreSQL or TimescaleDB.
  • Test data management and mocking of external APIs.
  • Backend development with an interest in cloud, APIs and agile ways of working.
  • Fluent communication in English.

Desired Qualifications

  • A relevant academic degree is beneficial.
  • Swedish or other languages are a plus.
  • Technical skill combined with a hands-on, can-do mindset.
  • Enjoy solving complex problems, learning new things and taking ownership.
