Responsibilities

Design, develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Oracle Database, and modern web technologies.
Write, analyze, and optimize complex Oracle SQL queries for application functionality, data processing, reporting, and system performance.
Support and enhance legacy applications, analyzing code and architecture for modernization, maintainability, and performance improvements.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues across application, database, API, and integration layers.
Translate business requirements and technical problems into scalable, maintainable, and reliable software solutions.
Develop and maintain Java/Spring Boot REST APIs, including business logic, integrations, and services connected to Oracle Database.
Develop and maintain web application components using JavaScript and HTML, potentially including front-end frameworks like React.
Support and contribute to integrations with enterprise platforms and services, including authentication/SSO.
Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and CI/CD practices.
Create and maintain technical documentation.
Collaborate with Product Owners, System Analysts, QA teams, and other technical stakeholders.
Identify technical risks and dependencies, take ownership of issues, and proactively contribute to application reliability and maintainability.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of software development experience with hands-on delivery across Java and Oracle Database.
Strong Oracle SQL skills with experience writing, analyzing, and optimizing complex SQL queries.
Solid experience developing Java applications and REST APIs using Spring Boot.
Strong understanding of Oracle Database and experience working with relational data models, database objects, and application-to-database integrations.
Experience diagnosing application issues, analyzing existing code, debugging production problems, and implementing reliable solutions.
Experience consuming and producing REST APIs, with familiarity with API authentication patterns (OAuth2, JWT).
Familiarity with the software development lifecycle, including source control, code reviews, testing, deployment, and Agile (sprint-based) delivery.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and branching strategies.

Desired Qualifications

Experience working with legacy applications, including modernization, technical debt reduction, and application maintenance.
Experience with React, NextJS, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
Experience with Oracle APEX application development and maintenance.
Experience with PL/SQL, including packages, procedures, functions, and complex queries.
Experience with SSO/authentication technologies, such as Auth0 or similar identity platforms.
Experience with MuleSoft or similar enterprise integration platforms.
Experience with Salesforce development and enterprise integrations, including Salesforce APIs, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and integration between Salesforce and backend services.
Experience in learning management, e-learning, or enterprise training platforms.
Familiarity with microservices architecture and API gateway patterns.
Experience working in an international Agile delivery team.
