Responsibilities
- Drive communications strategy and execution for Datacenter PR programs, including proactive storytelling and media engagement.
- Develop and lead communications plans for AI infrastructure, energy, water, sustainability, business strategy, and trust topics.
- Lead issues-preparedness and rapid-response efforts on high-profile infrastructure topics.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across engineering, marketing, communications, and legal affairs.
- Shape thought leadership and identify opportunities to engage media and influencers.
- Direct agency partners on media monitoring, research, engagement, and measurement.
- Support communications for events, announcements, tours, and executive engagements.
- Embody Microsoft's culture and values.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 4+ years communications, marketing operations, field operations, program management, project management, or related experience OR equivalent experience.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical content.
- Experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively and execute with attention to detail.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant professional experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related discipline.
- Interest in or experience with cloud, AI infrastructure, energy systems, sustainability, or related topics.
- Experience supporting communications on complex or high-visibility issues.
- Understanding of evolving media and influencer landscapes.
- Ability to operate effectively with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
- 3+ years specialized functional (e.g., retail, technology) experience.
- 4+ years experience supporting senior executives in an executive communications role.
- 3+ years experience working with social media platforms.
Benefits
- The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year.
- In the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
