Responsibilities

  • Drive communications strategy and execution for Datacenter PR programs, including proactive storytelling and media engagement.
  • Develop and lead communications plans for AI infrastructure, energy, water, sustainability, business strategy, and trust topics.
  • Lead issues-preparedness and rapid-response efforts on high-profile infrastructure topics.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across engineering, marketing, communications, and legal affairs.
  • Shape thought leadership and identify opportunities to engage media and influencers.
  • Direct agency partners on media monitoring, research, engagement, and measurement.
  • Support communications for events, announcements, tours, and executive engagements.
  • Embody Microsoft's culture and values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 4+ years communications, marketing operations, field operations, program management, project management, or related experience OR equivalent experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical content.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively and execute with attention to detail.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant professional experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Interest in or experience with cloud, AI infrastructure, energy systems, sustainability, or related topics.
  • Experience supporting communications on complex or high-visibility issues.
  • Understanding of evolving media and influencer landscapes.
  • Ability to operate effectively with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
  • 3+ years specialized functional (e.g., retail, technology) experience.
  • 4+ years experience supporting senior executives in an executive communications role.
  • 3+ years experience working with social media platforms.

Benefits

  • The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year.
  • In the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
  • Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
