Join our Middle East and Africa team as a Senior Application Engineer in Chennai, India. You will prepare engineering solutions for control valves, handle techno-commercial offers, and address technical queries for EPC projects and MRO business support. This on-site role requires a degree in engineering and at least 4 years of experience with severe service applications and control valve products.

Responsibilities

Understand project guidelines and prepare quotes meeting all customer requirements.
Clarify technical specifications/project guidelines through conference calls.
Review project specifications and contribute to project guidelines.
Understand and document LBP/Customer specific guidelines for quotations.
Prepare Technical and Commercial Quotes, technical deviations lists, and generate reports and drawings.
Correspond with LBPs/Sales offices for clarifications.
Provide support on project revisions from customers.
Support Sales office after PO issuance and prepare for order entry.
Provide technical support for OE/factory clarifications and assist with change orders.
Act as a contact point for specific Sales/LBP to send projects.
Maintain and report records of all work done.
Prepare engineering solutions for control valves for EPC projects/Regional MRO business support.
Prepare techno-commercial offers and address technical queries.

Requirements

A degree in engineering field.
Hands-on knowledge and experience of control valves sizing & selection.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Minimum 4+ Years of experience in handling Severe service applications and related Control valve products.
Breakthrough thinking with a can-do attitude.
Desire to work in an inclusive environment, proactively work across the organization to establish and achieve common goals.
Actively assist in any assigned bid activities, to guarantee that the customer specifications are accurately understood, and that innovative and cost-efficient solutions are proposed.

Desired Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical/Instrumentation/Chemical/Metallurgical Engineering.
Strong interpersonal skills and able to pitch the solution for applications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ready to take up any new challenges.
Experience in Handling large projects and Inhouse engineering experience.
Fisher Grand Master – RED Belt Certification.
Creating portfolios as evidence for your competency element as part of structured continued further education in engineering.
Awareness of internal and industry standards as related to position responsibility (preferred).
