Responsibilities

Direct product strategy from conception through end of life.
Function as a central resource for design, process, manufacturing, quality, test, marketing, and distribution throughout the product lifecycle.
Formulate and execute long-term roadmaps for cost/profit control.
Promote the use of new technologies and industry-leading trends.
Direct activities related to the design, modification, and evaluation of specific products or product lines.
Conduct complex analyses to assess marketability of products.
Create business cases for new product development or features.
Market new and complex products and technologies through technical marketing opportunities and direct customer contact.
Drive product launch efforts.
Prepare and deliver complex technical presentations.
Contribute to the creation of a differentiated product roadmap.
Direct the development of complex products and services with minimal supervision.
Complete product development and definition activities for moderately complex products.
Maintain expertise on competitors, technological advances, and the product ecosystem.
Take the lead on development and design innovation.
Ensure successful cross-functional collaboration by meeting agreed-upon KPIs and specifications.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop product goals and discuss product feasibility.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related technical field.
4+ years of Product Management or related work experience.
Experience in software product management, platform strategy, product planning, or a related technical discipline.
Some experience with Android, AOSP, mobile software platforms, system software, or related ecosystem technologies.
Experience defining and executing complex software products and technology roadmaps.
Experience coordinating across multiple technology domains, product management teams, and engineering organizations.
Understanding of mobile platform architecture, Android ecosystem requirements, software development lifecycle, and customer integration considerations.
Experience working with Google, OEMs, carriers, developers, or other technology ecosystem partners.
Ability to translate customer and market needs into product strategy, requirements, and execution priorities.
Strong analytical, strategic planning, problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to influence decisions and drive results across organizational boundaries without direct authority.
Experience balancing technical feasibility, customer value, business priorities, schedule, quality, and risk.
Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

Desired Qualifications

Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
