As a Security Customer Engineer for Google Cloud in Mumbai, you will be instrumental in growing the cybersecurity business by building and expanding relationships with customers. You will serve as a trusted advisor and advocate for security solutions, leveraging both technical and business skills to support C-level executives and security teams in securing cloud environments and ensuring compliance.
Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify business opportunities, understanding customer technical objections, and developing strategies to resolve technical blockers.
- Work directly with customers to demonstrate and prototype Google Cloud product integrations.
- Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure using best practices on Google Cloud.
- Share security experience to support the technical relationship with customers, including product and solution briefings and proof-of-concept work.
- Partner with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer engagement with Google Cloud.
- Support customer-facing presentations and conduct workshops as a subject matter expert on cyber security.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on application security, secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) practices, and vulnerability management, particularly within cloud-native or hybrid environments.
- Experience with cloud and software development.
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical field.
- Experience with AI-powered security tools for automated vulnerability detection, exploit generation, and code fix remediation.
- Experience in a customer-facing technical role, delivering product and solution briefings.
- Partnering with security leaders and technical teams, and optimizing for production results.
- Understanding of the impact of AI on both offensive and defensive security strategies.
- Familiarity with platforms for deploying and managing security agents or AI models for security applications, particularly in code analysis and remediation workflows.
