Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain IKEA Food menu items according to the IKEA Food concept and food handling standards.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, process sales transactions, and adhere to cash handling policies.
  • Maintain equipment operation, troubleshoot breakdowns, and conduct preventive maintenance.
  • Ensure a clean supply of dishes, silverware, and cooking utensils.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining and play areas.
  • Manage the Swedish Food Market, overseeing merchandising, pricing, stock rotation, and cleaning.
  • Ensure accurate and timely price communication across all food solutions.
  • Maintain supply rotation and stocking using FIFO and expiration date principles.
  • Implement IKEA Food policies for goods receiving and monthly inventory.
  • Adhere to safe food handling, workplace safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
  • Contribute to an inclusive work environment reflecting IKEA culture.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years related experience.
  • Food Handler Certification and/or Food Handler Card required within 30 days of employment (as required by local jurisdiction).

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in a high-volume customer facing environment preferred.
  • Experience in a high-volume retail environment with knowledge of basic merchandising and selling concepts preferred.
