YouTube's Trust & Safety team is hiring a Scaled Abuse Analyst in Hyderabad to combat online abuse and protect users. The role involves analyzing large-scale data, identifying product vulnerabilities, driving anti-abuse strategies, and working with engineers and stakeholders to improve workflows. Requires a bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience in data analysis and related fields, with proficiency in SQL, R, or Python.

Responsibilities

Perform fraud and spam investigations using various data sources, identify product vulnerabilities and drive anti-abuse experiments to prevent abuse.
Work with engineers and interact cross-functionally with stakeholders to improve workflows via process improvements, automation and anti-abuse system creation.
Design and refine prompts for Large Language Models (LLMs) to improve their accuracy in identifying and classifying abusive content and behavior which may include prompt engineering, data labeling, and performance analysis.
Apply advanced statistical methods to large complex data sets to understand the impact of abuse to the YouTube ecosystem.
Contribute strategy and development of new workflows against additional known vectors of abuse.
Learn complex and technical concepts and systems and deliver meaningful results using them.
Maintain, foster and promote quality by providing regular feedback metrics to the Global team.
Manage technological solutions for streamlining quality assurance.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience in data analysis, including identifying trends, generating summary statistics, and drawing insights from quantitative and qualitative data.
2 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, risk/fraud analytics, or a related field.
2 years of experience with SQL, R or Python.

Desired Qualifications

Experience in metrics analysis, experiment design and automation.
Experience translating investigative insights into business strategies and actions.
Experience collecting, managing and synthesizing large data sets and information from disparate sources, statistical modeling, data mining and data analysis.
Experience creating opportunities to innovate, conceptualize and complete while working with global teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functionally at various levels.

Benefits

Requires on-call work at weekends on a rotational basis.
Will be exposed to graphic, controversial, and sometimes offensive video content during team escalations in line with YouTube’s Community Guidelines.
