Responsibilities
- Manage customer relationships and drive sales within the Vancouver Island Area.
- Visit retail stores to execute merchandising initiatives and increase product visibility.
- Build strong relationships with store teams and ensure optimal product placement.
- Execute promotional programs and in-store displays.
- Identify growth opportunities and upsell.
- Collaborate with internal team members to meet business goals.
- Travel the sales territory by vehicle, calling on customers to take orders and merchandise product displays.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of experience in CPG sales, within either retail or food service.
- A valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and active insurance for travel within your territory.
- Familiarity with the Vancouver Island area and local retail landscape.
- Comfortable managing a geographically diverse territory and regularly travelling throughout Vancouver Island.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships and influence store-level decision makers.
- Demonstrated consultative selling, networking, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to interpret sales data, identify opportunities, and translate insights into action.
- Experience planning and executing territory growth strategies.
- Post-secondary education in a related field.
Desired Qualifications
- Additional experience managing a sales territory is considered a strong asset.
- Previous sales experience that includes the direct-store-delivery (DSD) sales model is considered a strong asset.
