Amazon is seeking a Risk Manager for its UK Risk team, focusing on UK/EU regulated financial services. Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the risk management program for UK/EU licensed entities (payments, insurance distribution, and credit broking).
  • Deliver roadmaps, embed risk management mechanisms, and support change management for product launches.
  • Monitor risk exposure against entity risk appetite and escalate as appropriate.
  • Facilitate data-driven narratives for leadership/Board members on risk levels, mitigations, and impacts.
  • Support incident response.
  • Develop the risk management framework, including policies, procedures, and governance documents.
  • Address Business Continuity/Operational Resilience.
  • Conduct Product Risk Assessments and Material Changes to Business Products.
  • Leverage AI-driven tooling (intelligent agents, automated workflows, GenAI analytics) to scale framework effectiveness and reduce manual overhead.
  • Meet with external customers to provide advice and feedback on risk management application.
  • Draft documents, provide leadership reporting, and schedule meetings/workshops.
  • Deliver expertise to deep dive issues, quantify risk, and drive remediation.
  • Work on global projects and innovate the global risk management program.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise in UK/EU regulated financial services company.
  • Experience in risk management and internal audit, including performing risk assessments and audits, designing controls, managing enterprise control frameworks, and prioritizing risk.
  • Experience working with compliance and businesses.
  • Ability to work autonomously.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in the financial services industry.
  • 1+ years of regulatory frameworks and policy analysis methodologies experience.
