The Receiving Supervisor leads inbound material flow, overseeing receipt, inspection, and storage of materials for a manufacturing facility. Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily receipt and processing of all inbound materials.
  • Ensure timely unloading, inspection, verification, and put-away of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
  • Verify shipments against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain ownership of inventory accuracy throughout the plant and ensure accurate JDE transactions.
  • Oversee storage practices, material identification, traceability, and warehouse organization.
  • Manage the safe and efficient operation of forklifts and material handling equipment.
  • Maintain inventory condition and ensure warehouse housekeeping and 5S standards.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of direct reports.
  • Partner with other departments to ensure alignment on inventory management processes.
  • Maintain ownership of receiving-related physical storage and staging locations, including dock, yard, and outdoor areas.
  • Ensure dock and yard areas are organized and maintained for safe and efficient material flow.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of warehouse, receiving, inventory control, or materials management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience required.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably JD Edwards (JDE).
  • Experience managing inventory accuracy and cycle count programs.
  • Proficiency with JD Edwards (JDE) inventory and receiving transactions.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control principles.
  • Knowledge of receiving, put-away, location management, and material traceability processes.
  • Familiarity with forklift operations and warehouse safety requirements.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and reporting skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience handling raw materials, long-length materials, or industrial manufacturing products preferred.
