Edwards is seeking an R&D Engineer for their Shanghai Innovation Center. This role involves providing solutions for customer-specific requirements through R&D projects, chemical analysis, and operating under ISO 17025 and ISO triple system standards. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation, with strong communication skills in English and Chinese.
Responsibilities
- Lead Scrubebr DRE test on Customer onsite to evaluate the abatement performance.
- Develop calibration capabilities for gas detectors, torque wrenches, oxygen analyzers, and other instruments, including method development and uncertainty evaluation.
- Manage CNAS ISO 17025 operations, including test report review, personnel training, and quality supervision.
- Perform chemical analysis of byproducts using TGA, SEM, FTIR, and water analysis tools.
- Manage lab material and equipment purchasing.
- Collaborate with IC, App, and TS teams on CIP & R&D projects.
- Provide engineering support for project-specific products.
- Ensure lab facility and equipment readiness for fab system testing.
- Support compliance with ISO 9001/14001/45001.
- Follow SHE rules and close safety walk findings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and above in Physics or Chemistry, Material, Mechanical, Electrical or Automation.
- Effective communication in English and Chinese.
- Good teamwork, customer/peer interaction and communication skills.
- Resilient and passionate for new knowledge.
- Self-managing and motivated.
- Experience of scientific instruments is preferred.
- Good Collaboration and presentation skills are preferred.
- Design of experiment is an advantage.
- Uncertainty Assessment Knowledge is an advantage.
Desired Qualifications
- Master and beyond degree are preferred.
- Major in Vacuum, Chemistry and Material are preferred.
- Experience of scientific instruments is preferred.
- Good Collaboration and presentation skills are preferred.
- Design of experiment is an advantage.
- Uncertainty Assessment Knowledge is an advantage.
