Emerson is seeking a Quality Documentation Supervisor in Mansfield, MA to manage a team of QA Documentation Specialists. Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Quality Assurance Documentation Specialists and ensure successful training and onboarding of new employees.
  • Prepare nuclear specialty valve documentation packages in accordance with the invoked QA Program, customer purchase order, applicable drawings and specifications, and QAI/applicable procedure requirements.
  • Communicate issues to Contracts and Engineering that prevent on-time shipping.
  • Preparation, editing and controlled distribution of Quality Assurance procedures and instructions, welding and NDE procedures, inspection instructions, calibration procedures, and training programs.
  • Coordinate the administration of Emerson products for ASME certification and National Board capacity certification.
  • Prepare, submit, and track valve certification renewals to National Board.
  • Check UV stamped nameplates for correct capacity before shipment.
  • Ensure the team is focused on meeting the business objectives and executing the daily work plan.
  • Maintain the ability to complete all QA processes and fill in where needed due to workload or absence.
  • Communicate employee performance concerns to the QA Manager.
  • Communicate resourcing concerns, improvement ideas, or strategic initiatives to the QA Manager.

Requirements

  • High school or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
  • 1-2 years in a manufacturing environment, with emphasis on QA
  • Attention to detail and an ability to proofread
  • Process-oriented – enjoy continuous improvement and streamlining processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, work independently and efficiently, and meet scheduled deadlines.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in a business or technical discipline
  • 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, with emphasis on a QA background
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Access.
  • 1-2 years’ experience with ASME Code work
