Proposal Engineer

As the Project Proposal Engineer, you will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of Technical & Commercial Project Proposals to our customers in Europe for Power and Renewables industry within automation projects business portfolio and support Emerson sales teams in the pursuit of new business opportunities.
This role requires the proposal delivery management of a broad variety of projects ranging from small-size to large and/or complex ones, assuming ownership of the full-scope, or sub-scope, when working under leadership of Proposal Lead / Manager, including sales & operations stakeholders’ coordination and direct customer contact, with the focus on winning more orders for the company.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Ensuring understanding, managing and satisfying each requirement or expectation from customers or company’s stakeholders through remote communication or site visits;
• Taking full ownership of the delivery of the assigned technical and commercial project proposals scope, or sub-scope of large size and/or complex project proposals led by Proposal Manager or Lead, within automation projects business portfolio, following the standard process; 
• For independent delivery of project proposals, act as Solution Architect applying technical expertise for the concept design development of Emerson solution, fulfilling customers requirements; 
• Ensure the innovative and cost-effective solutions are proposed; proactively apply methodologies, resources and techniques for minimizing the proposal preparation effort, whilst maintaining the requisite schedule and quality; ensure stakeholders are proactively informed on the status or any challenges;
• Acquiring, maintaining, and actively sharing knowledge and experience with the team and the more comprehensive organization; 
• Taking other responsibilities or tasks, including those related to Ethics and Information Security policies within the skills and abilities, whenever reasonably instructed. The business reserves the right to make reasonable adjustments in line with business requirements.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering field;
• 2+ years of relevant experience (engineering or sales support in automation, extensive direct end customer interaction)
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal) and excellent communication skills;
• Experience in process automation field for various industries;
• Understanding of process automation, DCS (Distributed Control System) and/or PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems, computer infrastructure and network architecture;
• Computer literate (MS Office).

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• Experience in commercial and sales support activities;
• Project management / coordination skills.
