Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in project execution using Autoliv development, validation, and CCB processes.
- Drive cross-functional accountability to ensure project goals are met.
- Serve as a cross-functional team leader, supporting engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, quality, program management, and suppliers for successful program launches.
- Effectively lead global project teams for productive collaboration and positive results.
- Manage project budgets and financial performance, ensuring adherence to schedule and deliverables.
- Oversee direct communication and coordination with Autoliv project members and manufacturing facilities in Mexico.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding project-related topics.
- Conduct project and technical meetings in Japanese with customers and global teams.
- Support Business Unit and product line strategies by leveraging technology and best practices.
- Coordinate project execution in alignment with the Autoliv Change Management Standard.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project timelines using PWA/Open Project.
- Provide support to customer engineering and manufacturing plants as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of experience in similar roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
- Robust engineering, project management, and automotive launch experience.
- Experience in commodities and previous automotive industry experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills, negotiation abilities, and a disciplined, organized work approach.
- Advanced English and Japanese proficiency.
- Experience interfacing with Asian customers.
- Experience using Microsoft Project.
- Customer portals knowledge is a plus.
