Responsibilities

  • Manage continual improvement projects in manufacturing and office environments.
  • Manage capital projects for new manufacturing equipment.
  • Facilitate and participate in cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain and prioritize project hopper with the Operational Excellence Manager.
  • Deliver project update status reports to owners and management.
  • Strategically coordinate projects within Operational Excellence to achieve annual cost savings goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Green Belt Lean Six Sigma Certification or other Lean certifications.
  • 3 years of Project management training or experience managing capital or continuous improvement type projects.
  • Manufacturing experience with metal or high-volume products.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to provide formal reports, calculate ROI, implement metrics, and audit procedures.
  • Ability to utilize MS Office software at a high level.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with industrial coating processes is a plus.
  • Experience with industrial automation or robotics is a plus.
  • Experience with roll forming or tube mills is a plus.
  • Ability to manage own projects as well as champion projects managed by others.
