As a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift LSP Shipping team, you will lead and develop employees while ensuring daily goals for cost, schedule, quality, and safety are met. This role requires a high school diploma, 1-3 years of manufacturing experience, and proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the LSP 2nd shift shipping team, including orientation, training, and development.
  • Enforce safety regulations and determine daily department requirements to meet goals.
  • Identify daily work tasks for team members using work orders.
  • Accountable for daily/weekly metrics (cost, schedule, quality, safety).
  • Coordinate activities and communicate with Planning, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality Control, and Human Resources.
  • Participate in and cultivate team engagement in 6S and process improvement programs.
  • Track daily performance using charts, graphs, or other metric programs.
  • Direct and perform duties as needed to meet department needs.
  • Inspect components for fit and finish and interpret departmental trends for anomalies.
  • Conform with the organization’s ISO 9001 & 14001 requirements.
  • Assist Production Manager with various tasks and system/process development.
  • Generate and coordinate measures to improve production methods, equipment, and quality.
  • Assist production personnel in solving work-related problems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • One to three years of related experience in a factory or manufacturing environment and/or training.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence in English.
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions in English.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools.
  • Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to apply logic to a wide range of practical problems.
  • Ability to deal with non-verbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, pictures, etc.).
  • Ability to deal with a variety of variables.
