As a Product Support Supervisor in Kumasi, Ghana, you will oversee the service and maintenance of Sandvik fleets and manage the Parts/tool store. Your role involves driving cost efficiencies and capital profit through effective leadership, strong customer relations, and best practice Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) practices. This position requires a degree-qualified engineer or tradesperson with significant relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Provide OEM product support to customers through effective management systems.
Manage cost budgets by initiating cost reduction measures while maintaining quality and safe environmental practices.
Develop and administer effective maintenance practices to ensure fleet availability and reliability per contract terms.
Take responsibility for Environment, Health & Safety performance and management.
Manage all customer and stakeholder relationships.
Ensure continuous improvement initiatives to promote Sandvik's business image and related product/service offerings.
Ensure personal and career development of team members.
Adhere to all Sandvik policies and procedures, especially SHEQ policies.

Requirements

Degree Qualified Engineer or good trade background with relevant equipment technical and managerial experience.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
Experience in maintaining Surface products.
Ability to manage parts stores.
Ability to oversee all technical maintenance scope of work aimed at delivering best-practice maintenance service support.
Close cooperation with customers’ projects and operational organizations.
Extensive Mechanical/Electrical Engineering knowledge.
Strong business sense and EHS focus.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and people management skills.
Proficiency in the use of spreadsheets and other MS Office applications.
Willingness to travel and work in remote locations for extended periods.
Proficiency in Maintenance Management practices.
Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team and guide members.

Desired Qualifications

Qualification in Project Management would be an advantage.
