Microsoft is seeking Product Manager Interns for Summer 2027 to define product vision and strategy, leveraging customer understanding and market analysis to drive product roadmaps. Interns will work on real-world projects collaboratively, contributing to impactful solutions and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Identifies customers’ unmet or unknown needs and market opportunities for enhancements or development of a feature via quantitative and qualitative analyses and scope the impact of a problem.
- Drives and tracks Key Results, success criteria and performance metrics, partnering with Software Engineering and Hardware Engineering to identify needed data and ensure telemetry is developed.
- Determines features or experiences to prioritize in the roadmap that will support achievement of success criteria and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
- Gathers input on priorities and resources needed to deliver desired outcomes for a single feature.
- Iterates multiple designs with Design, Software Engineering, and Hardware Engineering.
- Assists in facilitating reviews with customers to determine usability and ensure accessibility criteria and updated designs meet customer goals.
- Collaborates with Product Marketing, Business Planning, and Engineering to identify product release criteria, customer acquisition, and usage.
- Monitors and reports on progress and derive insights that lead to productive courses of action to improve product/feature development, iteration, and implementation.
- Builds trust with customers and leverages a line of communication with customers to capture feedback and insights through the product development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree with at least one semester/term of school remaining following the completion of the internship.
- Currently pursuing a Master's Degree with at least one semester/term of school remaining following the completion of the internship.
- Currently pursuing a Doctorate with at least one semester/term of school remaining following the completion of the internship.
Desired Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in product/service/project/program management or software development or equivalent experience.
