Responsibilities
- Ensure continuous operation of tube mill equipment during the shift.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area (5S).
- Cross-train team members on parts programming and mill set-ups.
- Perform TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) on process and equipment.
- Coordinate daily and weekly activities with the department supervisor.
- Conduct visual and manual quality checks of finished products.
- Minimize scrap production.
- Collaborate with maintenance to resolve equipment issues promptly.
- Document downtime through a reporting system for KPI tracking.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Experience using special measuring devices (micrometer, calipers, tape measure).
- Ability to read and interpret set-up charts from OEM for tooling adjustments.
- Skill in changing out cut-off jaws, blades, and refilling oil levels.
- Demonstrated ability to meet negotiated timeframes for scheduling.
- Good communication skills with coworkers and material handlers.
- Ability to think and react to schedule changes and mill conditions.
- Ability to be a contributing team member for continuous improvement activities.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in reporting downtime to drive KPI tracking.
- Experience in proper tagging of product.
