Alstom is seeking a full-time N&T Network Designer in Bangalore to design and deliver N&T Backbone Transmission Network (BTN) specifications. The role involves working with various teams, contributing to technical reviews, and supporting deployment activities. Ideal candidates will have a BE/Master's degree in Engineering with 8+ years of experience in IP-MPLS solutions, LAN/WAN design, and cybersecurity protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver N&T Backbone Transmission Network (BTN) specifications.
  • Elaborate N&T BTN Design specifications in line with engineering rules and best practices.
  • Ensure adherence to quality processes and promote ethical conduct.
  • Minimize deployment costs, lead times, and risks through efficient design.
  • Develop BTN requirements with a focus on dimensioning, especially in IP-MPLS network and cybersecurity.
  • Support functional validation and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Prepare and execute design reviews and manage technical gaps.

Requirements

  • BE/Master’s degree in Engineering with 8+ years of experience.
  • Work experience in IP-MPLS solutions.
  • Proven experience in LAN/WAN design and deployment of GbEthernet.
  • Knowledge of RFC protocols, IP routing, QoS, and cybersecurity (802.1x, Radius, Firewall).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools, traffic analysis, and general IP techniques.
  • Certifications such as CCNP or CCIE (or equivalent).

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Nokia/Alcatel-Lucent IP-MPLS portfolio is highly preferred.
  • Experience with fiber deployments and troubleshooting is desirable.
  • Knowledge of major telco suppliers like Cisco, Nokia, Juniper, Huawei, etc.
