Responsibilities

  • Identify relevant gaze metrics and analysis methods for XR training.
  • Select and define a suitable Volvo Group training.
  • Develop a proof-of-concept implementation with eye tracking integration.
  • Conduct a user study on the proof-of-concept, comparing VR results with live production task results.

Requirements

  • Background in Computer Science, Industrial Design Engineering, Cognitive Science, Production Engineering or similar.
  • Knowledge in XR, Eye tracking, Education, UX, human-technology interaction, production.
  • Must be a student for an MSc thesis.

Desired Qualifications

  • Create a practical and evidence-based blueprint for the use of eye tracking in XR training.
  • Suggest a strategy for scaling the technology across a portfolio of XR trainings.
  • Develop a demonstrator with eye tracking integrated into a VR training application.
