Responsibilities

  • Drive high-level architecture studies for modem systems.
  • Design and develop modem algorithms.
  • Apply machine learning to WWAN radio design.
  • Contribute to power-efficient design and verification.
  • Participate in the commercialization of new technologies.
  • Work on emerging areas like 6G, IoT, satellite networking, V2X, and extended reality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Master's degree in EE, ECE, CS, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related fields with strong probability, machine learning, statistics, and linear algebra components.
  • Strong programming and coding background.
  • Flair for problem solving, applied mathematics, and statistical skills.
  • Motivated to learn on the job.

Desired Qualifications

  • Academic project experience or up to 5 years of industry experience in communication theory, applied mathematics & statistics, machine learning, convex optimizations, numerical analysis, signal processing, information theory, channel coding, or statistical learning.
  • Ability to program effectively in C/C++, Python, and/or Matlab.
  • Experience with key machine learning tools/libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras) and neural network architectures.
  • Up to 4 years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
  • Up to 2 years of experience working in a large matrixed organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for learning and intellectual curiosity.
