Emerson is looking for an experienced Materials Handler 2 in Pearland, TX. This on-site role involves managing the flow of materials, including receiving, storing, issuing, packaging, and shipping, while maintaining accurate inventory records and operating material handling equipment. A high school diploma or GED and two years of related experience, including forklift operation, are required.

Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for damage, accuracy, and compliance.
Document discrepancies and coordinate resolution with Purchasing and suppliers.
Maintain accurate inventory records, lot integrity, and country-of-origin documentation.
Store, issue, and distribute materials to production and other designated areas.
Reconcile inventory variances and assist with correcting discrepancies.
Move inventory, MRO, and non-production materials using forklifts and other equipment.
Prepare, package, and ship products, supplier returns, and other material releases.
Complete shipping documentation, determine freight costs, coordinate carriers, and ensure compliance.
Process and manage dangerous goods shipments in accordance with DOT, IATA, and IMDG regulatory requirements.
Monitor and maintain packaging inventory and manage warranty returns and RMA requests.
Safely operate, inspect, and maintain forklifts and other material handling equipment.
Provide training and guidance to other material handlers.
Qualify to operate company vehicles for material pickups and deliveries.
Assist with dock security, material tracking, inventory investigations, and other miscellaneous duties.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Two (2) years of related experience
Qualified candidates must possess forklift experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment.
Legal authorization to work in the United States
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.

Preference may be given to those located in the local area.
Individuals with temporary visas such as E, F-1 (including those with OPT or CPT), H-1, H-2, L-1, B, J or TN, or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible for hire.
