Master Thesis: ITSAC Automation Agent
Technology, Data & Digital · Software & Web Development · Software Engineering · Data Science
In short
This Master Thesis project involves designing and building an ITSAC Automation Agent (IAA) to automate manual steps in Ericsson's IT Security Assessment and Certification (ITSAC) process. The goal is a working prototype, combining workflow orchestration and AI agents, tested on pilot IT solutions to improve efficiency and quality.
Responsibilities
- Study Ericsson’s ITSAC, ITSA, and ITCA processes, internal requirements, and relevant security and AI-governance standards.
- Design and implement a prototype that supports selected assessment tasks, such as CIA/ITCA analysis and drafting ITSA or ITSAC material.
- Integrate approved AI tools with selected source-code, pipeline, and document systems, such as GitLab and EriDoc/SharePoint.
- Implement safeguards such as input/output filtering, access controls, logging, and human approval for changes.
- Demonstrate the prototype on one or more R&D pilot solutions and evaluate its accuracy, consistency, security alignment, and effect on effort and quality.
- Document the architecture, results, risks, limitations, and recommendations for future development.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Solid programming skills in Python, Java, or a similar language.
- Interest in cybersecurity, secure software engineering, AI/LLMs, and workflow automation.
- Clear communication in English.
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with Git/GitLab, CI/CD, security assessments, or n8n is an advantage.
- Ability to work systematically and independently.
Benefits
- Outstanding opportunity to use skills and imagination to push the boundaries of what’s possible.
- Work with a team of diverse innovators.
- Challenged but not alone.
