- Investigate how functional and logical systems modelling can support the analysis of engineering changes.
- Compare ways of representing and using the information required for selected change cases.
- Examine how different model views relate to each other.
- Determine what information engineers need to understand the effects of a change.
- Analyze how information could support change-impact analysis.
- Demonstrate selected change cases using representative system-model information if time permits.
Requirements
- Approaching the end of a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Product Development, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field.
- About to begin a 30 hp thesis project.
- Interest in systems engineering, systems modelling, model-based engineering, or simulation is beneficial.
- Must pass a security vetting.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous aerospace or industrial experience is not required.
