Marine Service Technician - Ballast Water Treatment System - Miami Florida Port area

We are seeking a Marine Service Technician to perform field service, commissioning, and troubleshooting on vessels near the Miami, Florida port area. This remote role requires technical expertise in marine products, automation, and a solutions-driven approach to customer service.
Responsibilities
- Execute service jobs on board of vessels.
- Diagnose, solve, and report solutions for equipment issues.
- Perform troubleshooting on board in all harbors, potentially sailing until problem is solved.
- Handle major products and applications within at least one BU.
- Provide installation support and inspection of newly installed PureBallast equipment.
- Commission and recommission existing Ballast water treatment systems.
- Perform compliance service including filter inspection, cleaning, and water sampling.
- Utilize PLC, Instrumentation, and Control knowledge.
- Proactively seek central help and network contacts, reporting findings to the team.
- Provide qualified service to clients, managing customer and crew relations.
- Execute Performance Audits.
- Review and create SOPs.
- Provide technical support to Global Technical Specialists and Coordinators.
Requirements
- Technical degree (a plus).
- Relevant experience in marine service.
- Knowledge of CRM systems, planning tools, and database handling.
- Electrical and Automation knowledge (minimum EPC 50/60 / boiler controllers).
- Ability to work outside normal working hours.
- Solutions driven and focused on achieving outputs.
- Takes responsibility with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
- Willing to make tough decisions and act under pressure.
- Takes calculated risks based on adequate information and analysis.
- Customer focus: puts the customer first and strives to meet their needs.
- Fully understand customer’s processes and match products/applications.
- Apply knowledge related to marine product & application independently.
- Able to teach others in formal situations like classroom training, coaching.
- Able to coach colleagues by translating complex issues.
- Able to perform commissioning, commissioning supervision, troubleshooting, and performance audits.
