As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will monitor, maintain, and improve manufacturing processes, specializing in part inspection and custom packaging machines. This role involves hands-on troubleshooting, data analysis, and collaboration with internal and international teams to enhance efficiency and safety. Requires 2-10 years of engineering experience in manufacturing and a B.S. in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Act as an on-site resource to solve manufacturing process problems.
- Provide technical assistance on troubleshooting equipment mechanically.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in productivity, waste reduction, safety/ergonomics, etc.
- Champion the development of tools and fixtures to support lean manufacturing.
- Research new manufacturing methods to improve process efficiency.
- Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Investigate and resolve process and product deviations.
- Interface with manufacturing personnel to develop processes and procedures.
- Prepare technical documents to support improvements, processes, and changes.
- Support process transformations to accommodate new products and improvements to existing products.
Requirements
- B.S. in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred. Equivalent experience of 5+ years in process improvement may be considered.
- 2 - 10 years hands-on experience in engineering in a manufacturing environment, required.
- Good communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Adaptable and willingness to learn and develop.
- Able to operate effectively and efficiently individually and as part of a team.
- Ability to adapt and adjust priorities as necessary to support operations.
- 2+ years’ experience leading projects and/or working on small teams
- Ability to share knowledge and teach proper methods and procedures.
- Computer skills to include Microsoft Office products
- Ability to travel locally as needed.
- Must be able to legally work in the U.S. Visa sponsorship is not available at this time.
- Ability to safely move about a large production facility as needed, on a regular basis.
