Responsibilities

  • Act as Quality Champion to partner with core customers, suppliers, and stakeholders for improvement strategies and issue resolution.
  • Provide single point of ownership for strategic implementation of corporate quality systems within plants and departments.
  • Drive commonality and consistency across all plants, ensuring end-to-end quality standards from new product design through post-sales support.
  • Implement new ERP modules for quality and other related modules.
  • Drive lean and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple US plants.
  • Improve work methods and operating procedures.
  • Assure key organizational leaders adhere to quality processes and strategies.
  • Develop and track key metrics for common measurement across plants.
  • Identify and implement quality improvement projects.
  • Ensure proper technologies and platforms are in place or identified/recommended.
  • Own the compliance platform and assurance for standards set by AMMA and other industry market and product specifiers.
  • Support sourcing and supply chain with QA inspection processes, supplier performance, and qualification management.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for customer issues.
  • Improve and assure documented procedures.
  • Provide leadership and participation in Value Added Value Engineering.
  • Provide leadership to the quality team.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to drive a Quality strategy and vision across a multi-site organization.
  • Experience implementing ERP systems including quality modules and other related modules.
  • Proven experience driving lean manufacturing practices across multiple plants.
  • Management experience with a team of Quality Engineers and Technicians.
  • Experience with test and measurement equipment and processes.
  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to influence all audiences of an organization.

Desired Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive quality engineering/quality systems management experience in a mechanically focused manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in quality engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other engineering discipline or a related technical field.
  • ISO and/or Six Sigma implementation experience a plus.
  • Strong SPC, Process Capability, GD&T and Metrology skills desired.
  • Fenestration experience is a plus but not a requirement.
  • Certification (CQE, Black Belt) a plus.
