The Relay Operations Center (ROC) Manager I will oversee a shift in Amazon's transportation network, focusing on timely freight pick-up and delivery, and resolving exceptions. This role requires analyzing network data to identify trends, streamline processes, and improve team performance, with a strong emphasis on data-backed decision-making and customer communication.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a shift, identify opportunities to improve team performance, and own change management.
  • Develop and refer to performance metrics to drive team performance and business results.
  • Identify business impact of trends and make data-backed decisions.
  • Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) of the process.
  • Communicate with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers (Retail, Finance, Software Support, Fulfillment Centers).
  • Escalate problems or variances and follow through on resolutions.
  • Own process/business level reports/actions and drive compliance.
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis as per requirement.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of employee and performance management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience (equivalent to Bachelor's degree).
  • Ability to pull data from numerous databases (using Excel, Access, SQL and/or other data management systems) is a plus.
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
