Responsibilities
- Performing safe, high-quality preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Diagnosing and resolving electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electro-mechanical system faults.
- Supporting system reliability by identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Following established maintenance procedures and documentation standards.
- Contributing to a strong safety culture across a 24/7 operating environment.
- Taking care of vehicle systems, station equipment, and wayside infrastructure.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and reduce downtime.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience or understanding of mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems.
- Knowledge of maintenance practices, troubleshooting techniques, and diagnostic equipment.
- Familiarity with reading technical manuals, schematics, diagrams, and parts breakdowns.
- Ability to accurately document maintenance activities using written or computerized systems.
- Valid Class C driver’s license.
Desired Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with AC/DC power systems, PLCs, relay logic, or industrial control systems is considered an asset.
- Experience with rail, transit, manufacturing, transportation, HVAC, machining, or similar industrial environments is beneficial.
