Ericsson is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst in Plano, Texas, to lead financial planning, analysis, and reporting for MACS BCS Financial Reporting & Analytics. This role involves owning forecasting, providing financial guidance to stakeholders, and driving efficiency through automation and digital tools.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive period-end closing activities, ensuring accurate, timely reporting and insightful variance analysis.
- Lead forecasting cycles, including business cases and scenario analysis, to support target setting and financial planning.
- Act as a financial advisor to stakeholders, delivering prescriptive analysis and clear storylines that shape actions and decisions.
- Work closely with MA Finance leadership to drive real-time, forward leaning insights to inform and guide decision makers.
- Drive and participate in complex initiatives and projects, providing financial insight and challenge to support strategy execution and performance improvement.
- Promote and advance automation and digital ways of working to improve efficiency and elevate planning and analysis capabilities (data analytics, visualization, advanced tools).
- Ensure compliance with Ericsson financial policies, governance and relevant directives.
- Collaborate across finance and the business to align on actions that improve financial performance and follow-up on outcomes.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in FP&A, controlling, or project finance accounting (preferably in a multinational environment).
- Solid hands-on experience with period-end closing, forecasting and financial modeling, including scenario and risk analysis.
- Strong skills in financial analysis, forecasting, accounting & reporting and cost management.
- Experience with ERP/SAP or similar finance systems.
- High proficiency in Excel and experience with data analytics / visualization; interest in automation/digitalization of reporting and planning.
- Strong business understanding and ability to translate financials into clear, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.
- Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills; comfortable challenging and supporting senior counterparts.
- Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving and storytelling capabilities.
- Experience working with the Ericsson Financial Model or equivalent corporate financial frameworks.
- Experience in process improvement (Agile/scrum), automation, and digital transformation initiatives within finance.
- Experience in managing or contributing to cross-functional projects or programs.
- Familiarity with governance, risk management & compliance frameworks.
