Responsibilities

  • Manage Data Center public and confidential documentation and communication.
  • Align with financial and inventory management teams.
  • Respond to queries from internal and external Customers.
  • Document, update, and publish new processes.
  • Gather data, generate, publish, and present metrics.
  • Understand all aspects of transportation, shipping and receiving, and inventory control.
  • Adhere to strict safety standards.
  • Maintain very high quality.
  • Work on material handling equipment (i.e. Pallet Jack).
  • Complete manual tasks, such as assembling, addressing, and arranging for the shipment of materials.
  • Handle incoming shipments, unpack boxes and verify contents.
  • Load and unload large equipment utilizing pallet jacks.
  • Maintain accountability of in-stock components as well as receive and process inbound shipments.
  • Assist with ongoing requests to ensure proper stock levels are maintained and distributed.
  • Create plans to optimize the flow and delivery of parts through their lifecycle; tracking inventory locations and movement.
  • Fulfill parts and equipment deliveries quickly and accurately.
  • Ensure that inbound equipment orders are complete and delivered to appropriate Data Center Locations.
  • Resolve issues with vendors and help them understand business requirements.
  • Support an environment that operates 24/7.
  • Receive parts, maintain inventory, and check-out parts as needed.
  • Load and unload shipments and transport parts, racks, and equipment between different locations.
  • Handle sensitive/classified client materials.
  • Work with and/or around moving mechanical parts.
  • Perform data entry and resolve questions from peer organizations.
  • Maintain up-to-date metrics dashboards and/or Excel spreadsheets and create reports for internal and external customers and management.
  • Ensure that all billing associated with the Inventory supply chain is accurate, validated, and ready for processing.
  • Assemble, address, stamp and arrange for the shipment of merchandise and materials.
  • Assist in daily scheduling of deliveries and pick-ups to and from production locations.
  • Keep precise records of all commodities going in and out of the company.

Requirements

  • Experience as a logistics professional supporting inventory cycle counts, shipments, maintenance, stock control functions and reverse logistics.
  • Experience using computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Desired Qualifications

  • 2+ years of shipping & receiving, inventory and warehousing practices experience.
  • Highly autonomous, very detail oriented.
  • Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good understanding of financial processes.
  • Proficient with wide range of computer applications, such as Remedy, Wiki or Oracle Financial Applications.
  • Ability to self-educate and achieve goals without external support.
  • Interested in computer technologies with a strong drive to learn new skills.
  • Inventory Management experience is essential.
  • Willingness and demonstrated ability to work in the following physical conditions with reasonable accommodations: Push or pull heavy objects into position, Work in a noisy environment.
