Responsibilities
- Steer execution, coordinate and follow up on Technical Service Maintenance plans.
- Follow up technical runtime quality and efficiency, status and issues.
- Communicate and share information and plans.
- Implement according to lifecycle plans.
- Drive continuous improvements.
- Plan performance and reporting SW system upgrades and changes in configuration.
- Automate operations.
- Run installation jobs and scripts.
- Perform installation-specific customization tasks.
- Integrate test new products with existing applications and user procedures.
- Perform maintenance on a z/OS system product.
- Deliver end-to-end services according to Runtime Service Levels.
- Investigate performance problems.
- Perform life cycle management on performance and reporting products.
- Handle ITSM, ITIL processes - incident, change, request handling.
- Manage day to day quality in operation of the technical service and related products.
- Act as available resources for Service Design team regarding new functionality and services.
- Perform proactive work within ICEP, health checks and monitors.
- Manage audits.
Requirements
- Programming: REXX, Assembler, JCL
- z/OS knowledge, skills, routines
- Install, maintain and monitor z/OS systems and products for performance enhancements.
- Review, analyze, and resolve problems.
- Read, interpret and implement established specifications.
- Read and interpret technical and business information.
- Apply problem-solving skills sufficient to independently perform fault isolation and initiate corrective action.
- Ability to spot unresolved software anomalies and report to the team leader and the appropriate vendor.
