Qualcomm China is hiring an experienced Embedded Software Engineer for its IOT Camera division. The role involves developing software for camera and multimedia functions on Linux-based devices, with a focus on debugging, feature implementation, and customer support.

Responsibilities

Develop embedded software supporting Camera, camcorder and multimedia functions of CDMA, UMTS, and GSM handsets.
Design and implement camera end-to-end use cases and features.
Debug and resolve issues within the existing code base.
Cooperate with global development teams and external customers.
Provide onsite customer support.

Requirements

3-10 years of experience in Linux, Android, Embedded, Ubuntu, or Wearable camera development.
Strong knowledge and experience in Linux Kernel and Device Driver Model.
Strong C & C++ programming and debugging skills.
Experience in Camera HAL.
Experience in Camera ISP pipeline.
Experience in co-designing and prototyping camera features.
Experience in Linux camera sensor driver bring-up.
Experience in Camera stability, performance, power, and memory optimization.
Knowledge of 3A algorithms and tuning experiences.
Familiarity with MIPI, I2C, GPIOs, V4L2.
Experience in Image Signal Processing.
Experience in customer support and feature customization.
Ability to work closely with customers to understand requirements and provide tailored solutions.
Experience in Multimedia software development for Linux-based embedded systems.
Strong communication skills to explain technical information clearly.
Exceptional English communication skills.
Outgoing, positive, and optimistic personality.

Desired Qualifications

Familiarity with Qualcomm camX platform.
Experience with camera sensor driver, VCM driver, flash driver, PLD gating.
Experience in 3A algorithm improvement and bug fixing.
Camera framework experience.
Experience in still image driver development (JPG, PNG, GIF).
Experience in new image processing algorithm development and bug fixing.
Experience in camera power and performance profiling and optimization.
Experience supporting customers with customization features.
