International Trade Analyst

Seeking an International Trade Analyst to support trade operations and compliance in North and South America. This hybrid role requires a bachelor's degree, 2+ years of experience in trade compliance, and strong analytical skills to ensure adherence to customs regulations. Responsibilities include participating in audits, performing tariff classifications, and assisting with compliance systems.

Responsibilities

Participate in internal trade audits and review results to identify improvement opportunities.
Perform tariff classification audits for imported parts and provide training to engineers.
Monitor changes to US trade regulations and update internal policies.
Assist in developing and delivering US Trade Compliance training.
Support compliance system administration, data governance, and process enhancements.
Ensure adherence to reconciliation procedures, post-entry compliance tasks, and record keeping.
Conduct audits of forwarders & brokers to ensure compliance with SOPs.
Support the creation of import/export compliance manuals and SOPs.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and make recommendations to leadership.
Execute projects for continuous improvement of the Trade Compliance program.
Align with other business areas and share best practices.
Support completion of CF28 requests from CBP.

Requirements

Completed bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in trade compliance or related role.
Hands-on knowledge and interest in PC applications, MS-office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Desired Qualifications

Licensed Customs Broker preferred
Strong understanding of customs regulations and HTS codes preferred
Experience with SAP S/4 Hana, GTS, or other similar systems used in trade compliance management preferred
Experience of international transportation preferred
Experience of Mexican & Canadian custom regulations preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong logical and analytical thinking.
Ability to quickly learn new processes and systems & develop and implement improvement opportunities.
