We are seeking an International Service Engineer in Shanghai to perform marine-related services, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of WWF Systems and other AL equipment. The role requires strong hands-on electrical and mechanical skills, at least 6 years of experience, and fluency in English, with frequent travel expected.
Responsibilities
- Execute marine related services and tasks assigned from IMS
- Sail with ships to conduct troubleshooting or supervise/advise contractors for correct installation of WWF system
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on WWF Systems and other AL equipment
- Carry out retrofit or re-commissioning for existing and new systems, including preparation, inspection, fine-tuning, calibration, testing, and verification
- Provide training to SE onboard regarding WWF
- Conduct performance audits or compliance services
- Communicate with ship's crew, superintendents, class surveyors, and yards
- Report and send progress reports to IMS colleagues and customers
- Submit required paperwork timely after job completion
- Assist other WWF departments with various jobs upon request
Requirements
- Good hands-on electrical and mechanical technical skills are mandatory
- Fluent in both written and oral English (CET-4 or above)
- Minimum 6 years of experience as a Marine Engineer, on board or on a yard, or equivalent
- Service minded and customer oriented attitude
- Independent and situational
- Willing to travel frequently
- Target oriented, ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Behavior and compliance follow AL business principles and policy
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge and skills about BU WWF related products, such as ballast water treatment system, high-speed separator are preferred
- Offshore or Marine Engineering education background is preferred
- Minimum 2 years of commissioning experience for comparable installations is preferred
- Minimum 1 year of Alfa Laval related product working experience is preferred
