Internal Communication Lead

Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with the Head of Corporate Communications, India, act as a strategic counselor to senior leadership to deliver internal content that drives and aligns with company objectives
  • Play a critical role in driving and executing an effective communication strategy for ZS employees in India
  • Develop effective plans to improve internal communications at all offices and measure the effectiveness regularly
  • Design and create employee communication content that’s easy and exciting to consume
  • Manage internal communications channels, such as the intranet, e-newsletter, Yammer, digital screens, office forums, periodic internal emails, etc.
  • Lead and manage a high-performing team by providing clear direction and support, and cultivate a collaborative work environment that encourages team to excel in their roles
  • Provide communications support and counsel to senior executives and internal business partners
  • Ensure communication meets company goals and builds community
  • Foster trust and strong relationships with key leaders to better support business strategies through an effective internal communication vehicle
  • Help ensure consistency of messaging across all internal communications between the India offices and global offices
  • Find opportunities to streamline disparate communication efforts, connecting messages back to strategic priorities for the firm wherever possible, thereby helping ZS employees better understand the big picture;
  • Partner with Human Resources to strengthen employee engagement and support HR communication needs

Qualification:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism, or related field; master’s degree (MA/MS/MBA) preferred.
  • 10+ years relevant work experience in multi-national professional services environment with demonstrated experience in the scope of this role
  • Strong writing, editing, and verbal communications skills
  • High-energy, detail-oriented and results-driven communications strategist and practitioner;
  • Strong evidence of creating content relevant to a young IT/ITES workforce
  • Demonstrated ability to manage internal client relationships, including senior leaders
  • Proven record in leading employee communications programs that achieve results
  • Experience leading and motivating a team;
  • Able to translate complex business and stakeholder needs into effective narratives and messages for a variety of audiences;
  • Able to lead multiple, complex projects simultaneously, sometimes with limited guidance, prioritizing as needed to meet deadlines;
  • Calm under pressure and demonstrate good judgement;
  • Ability to make quick decisions in a professional and confident manner;
  • Understanding and experience across communication channels;
  • Experience using an internal, social knowledge-sharing, content management or intranet communication platform;
  • Experience using Adobe Creative suite a plus;
  • Experience in managing budget and vendor relationships.
