ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems is looking for an Installation Technician to perform service, installation, and repair of automated pedestrian doors. Responsibilities
- Perform service and installation in accordance with manufacturers’ recommended installation procedures and specifications.
- Document time spent and details of job-site conditions, problems, shortages, and inefficiencies.
- Perform all work in a safe manner to prevent accidents.
- Wear and maintain Personal Protection Equipment when necessary.
- Perform planned maintenance, break-fix repair, and upgrades of automated pedestrian doors.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues involving electro-mechanical devices, electrical circuits, and relay logic.
- Work with aluminum frames, glazing materials, hardware, and low-voltage wiring.
- Maintain professional communication with customers, end-users, and contractors.
- Participate in training programs.
- Participate in on-call rotations after certification and training.
Requirements
- 3-5 years’ experience of direct industry, store front door installation or relevant industry experience (Storefront, Glazing, Doors, Aluminium Frames, Electrical, Glass, Automatic Doors, Hardware etc.).
- Must meet the minimum age requirement of 21.
- Must be able to successfully obtain AAADM certification within six (6) months of employment and maintain certification as required.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in repairing electro-mechanical devices.
- Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low-voltage (120v) wiring.
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- High commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and teamwork.
- Ability to lift, bend, and use power tools effectively.
- Must be able to successfully obtain AAADM certification within one (1) year of employment and maintain certification as required.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames, and hardware (preferred).
- Access control systems a plus.
