Responsibilities

  • Assemble industrial vacuum equipment safely, in good quality, on-time, and efficiently.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures, including CORE safety rules, and report risk observations, near misses, and incidents.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Complete assembly work to required specifications using product work instructions, mechanical/electrical drawings, bill of materials, and routings.
  • Adhere to quality checkpoints, complete required paperwork, and ensure dimensional accuracy.
  • Identify and escalate part quality issues or engineering errors to the supervisor.
  • Support 6S initiatives for a clean and safe workplace.
  • Maintain discipline in the work area regarding breaks, rules, and rework.
  • Respect job order due dates and routing times for efficiency and on-time delivery.
  • Support rework and repair as needed.
  • Be flexible with job assignments and work order priorities.
  • Respect and improve standard assembly times and track hours worked.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in production assembly or a related field.
  • Proven ability to handle complex, large-scale assemblies with precision and efficiency.
  • Effective use of appropriate hand and power tools.
  • Experience with installing and aligning motors/gearboxes/pumps, performing extensive piping runs, and installing valves and instrumentation according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret complex assembly instructions from blueprints/drawings.
  • Ability to read and interpret measurement devices (tape measures, calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
  • Strong technical skills and problem-solving capabilities for independent work and quick adaptation.
  • Ability to contribute immediately without extensive training or supervision.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, jib cranes, and other mobile equipment and lifting devices.
  • Ability to manually lift up to 50lbs.
  • Basic computer skills for Microsoft Teams/Outlook, business systems, production tracking programs, and company training portals.

Desired Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of vacuum pumps design, manufacture, and maintenance is highly beneficial.
